79% of senior engineering leaders say AI is now a significant or mature part of their observability stack. The vast majority are investing more over the next 12 to 18 months — and 58% are putting those next dollars into the data layer that feeds AI. They sit across multiple budget areas and run vendor evaluations frequently — three or more per year for nearly all of them — but they face competing priorities and uncertainty about where the next dollar of AI investment should land.
