AI adoption in the form of copilots, homegrown agents, and AI agents embedded in SaaS tools holds the promise of dramatically improving enterprise efficiency and productivity. At the same time, it also introduces significant new risks for enterprise data. Mitigating the risk posed by AI agents and the data they expose requires unified governance that combines visibility, control, and rapid response. Enterprise, AI, and IT leaders (CISOs, CIOs, CDOs, and CDAOs) should adopt a unified approach that combines data security posture management (DSPM), AI governance, and intelligent backup and recovery to enable responsible, scalable AI adoption while protecting the organization’s most valuable asset: its data.
