The debate around Kubernetes today seems not to be how useful it is but whether the struggle of implementing the orchestrator is worth it. As we will see in the “Key Research Findings” section, large companies identify Kubernetes as useful, but the experience of smaller companies indicates that the infrastructure concerns far outweigh the benefits. We all know the decade-old tale of the Kubernetes learning curve; however, as we enter this next decade, the technical complexity is becoming more of a focal point, especially as AI continues to take center stage.
